Family Visits

My sister and nephew came from Colorado for Levi's birthday and Easter. My cousin Alex and her family came from Arizona for Levi's party also. We had so much fun seeing everyone and spending quality time together.

Levi's Batman Birthday Party

Ok, so maybe we went a little nuts for Levi's fifth birthday party but we just had to. Troy's Aunt and Uncle let us have the party at their awesome house:) My Uncle Darin who is a big Batman enthusiast brought his Batmobile and let us use his Batman costume. My Uncle Ray flew in from Arizona to be Batman and my brother made his own costume and was Joker. They rehearsed a little skit in which Joker stole the pinata and Batman arrived to save the day! There were some timing issues, mechanic segway issues and wardrobe malfunctions but that made the skit even more entertaining. Batman took a picture with all of the kids and it was such a great time! The kids went swimming and had their faces painted. Can honestly say it was the funnest party of all times!

Beau is 23 Months

Beau is twenty three months old and has quite the personality. He fends for himself and will get his own food from the pantry or refrigerator. He loves playing outside in the dirt and water! He has started putting two words together pretty clearly. He says "hi daddy" and "no mommy". Levi is hard to say but he talks to the dogs a lot. He loves to sit on the dogs and hug them very tightly. Beau tries to do everything that Levi does which sometimes ends in fighting. He is a really tough kid and doesn't cry very often when he gets hurt. We moved him to a big boy bed since he would not stop climbing out of his crib. After a night of him wandering out of his room and getting into things we had to put a lock on his door. Beau loved to eat mexican food like his Mommy. We are so glad we tried really hard for a second child, he has really completed our family.

Field Trip to the Nature Center

Levi's class went on a field trip to the Nature Center so I tagged along to join in on the fun! They went on a little Nature walk and looked for bugs. They were able to see and touch some of the animals and insects in the Nature Center. Then all of the kids had a picnic lunch together.

Christmas and Daddy Comes Home

After a long time of Troy working in North Dakota for a big job he arrived home before Christmas. Levi held him and hugged him for really long time. Beau seemed shy but warmed up to him quickly. We enjoyed having Christmas together and went to all of the fun family get togethers. He left on New Years to go back to work but was awfully home sick and left the job a week later to come home.

Christmas Tree Shopping

Getting a Christmas tree was really sad with Daddy traveling for work. My husband and I have been together to pick out a Christmas Tree since we met over ten years ago. The boys had fun running around the lot and picking out a tree. I was able to lift it off my car and get it in the house. Levi enjoyed putting the ornaments on and Beau enjoyed taking them off the lower half of the tree.

Pictures with Santa

We went to the Riverside Plaza and got pictures with a very elderly Santa Clause. Beau was not happy about Santa because of his fear of elders. We took the picture anyways for the memories. The boys wore matching Christmas pajamas.
