Christmas and Twenty Five Weeks

Christmas was alot of fun this year, busy of course but fun. Once twenty weeks passed my belly started growing pretty fast. My nurse practitioner said that all my labs came back normal and that my belly is measuring normal as well. Since Levi is not here to get pictures done I took Kodiak to get her pictures done at Petco. We received alot of gifts for Levi this Christmas: clothes, toys, bouncer, and first tub! We are just so excited to meet our little guy!

Nursery Theme

My mom bought me Levi's bed set for my birthday in November, it is super cute! His nursery theme is going to be African animals such as: elephants and zebra's. By the way this is not our nursery, we haven't started ours yet.

Twenty Weeks

I am twenty weeks pregnant and we just had an ultrasound confirming that our baby is for sure a boy! So his official name is Levi. My mom and Troy came with me to the ultrasound, it is so neat to see him opening and closing his mouth and seeing his fingers and toes! It is not until now that I can finally feel the baby kicking, it is a awesome feeling. Here is a belly picture and profile picture of Levi from the ultrasound.

Take home outfit

We bought a outfit to bring our baby home from the hospital in! It is pretty small so hopefully he or she wont be a big baby.

Cousin Rylan

A new cousin was born today on October 23rd. Big brother Brady wore his Big Brother shirt proudly. Our little one is going to have so much fun playing with Brady and Rylan one day! Especially since they just moved around the corner from our house!

Fifteen Weeks

Here are some of the first belly pictures taken, Troy wanted to show off his belly as well. We have both put on some pounds since these pictures were taken.

Scary Labs

At ten weeks I had to get my first labs done. I was not expecting them to take ten viles of blood though. I sat there for five minutes and it seemed like forever! They filled up vile after vile, and I will need to get more done around twenty weeks. The good news is all the labs came back good except that I am not immune to Rubella, which is kind of scary. They cannot give you the booster during pregnancy and Rubella is very dangerous but luckily pretty rare.

Crazy Baby

I was told during two seperate ultrasounds in late September that my baby is hyper. The doctor was not able to measure the baby because he or she was rolling over and squirming everywhere. At the next appointment the nurse practitioner could not get a heart beat on the doppler because the baby was squirming all over the place. They said that it is not normal and that it is my little one's personality, uh oh. Here are pictures from the ultrasound on the first picture the babie's legs are spread and it looks like there is something in between the legs. May be a boy, but at twelve weeks they say they cant tell us for sure.

Naseau and Food Cravings

The first trimester was difficult at times between feeling sick but hungry at the same time. I all of a sudden had a strange craving for donuts constantly. All the foods I once loved suddenly sounded disgusting. The moment I found out I was pregnant it felt as though someone gave me a sleeping pill and I didnt wake up until the third month. Luckily my energy is now returning as I get into the second trimester.

BJ's for Ambers Birthday

The next night we decided to announce the pregnancy to the rest of the family at a dinner for Ambers birthday. Her present from us was a onesie that said "my aunt rocks". Grandma Marje was extremely confused but was eventually excited! My mom was relieved she didnt have to keep a secret anymore.

First Prenatal Appointment

On September 3rd, Troy and I went to our first prenatal appointment. I was a bit nervous, I just wanted to make sure there was really a baby in there. Sure enough the ultrasound showed a little gummy bear with a heartbeat! It was so amazing to hear the heartbeat for the first time. The doctor said that my due date is April 5th and that the baby has a good steady heartbeat!

Telling the Family

On August 15th, Troy and I decided to tell my family about the exciting news. So I bought two onesie's for my parents to unwrap. My dad was making dinner that night so we showed up and told them we got them present because they helped us with the wedding. They opened up the presents and were really excited. My mom, dad, Amber, Travis, and Grandma Joyce were all told to keep the secret until after my first prenatal appointment.

The First Positive

On July 25th, I was so excited to get my first Positive Pregnancy test. Troy and I decided that I would take another one in a day or two to make sure. That day Amber and I left to go to our cousin Bryan Longpre's Baseball game in Palm Spring. Then stayed at Aunt Kathy's desert house for the night. I didn't let Amber in on the news because I wasnt sure if the test was accurate or not.

Alot can Happen in a Year

This has been a very busy year for Troy and I. We got engaged in February right before Valentine's Day. This is part of the slideshow Troy played for me...

So then we made plans to get married on my grandparents anniversary of June 6th. It was the perfect wedding for us, small and outdoors.

Then Troy and I bought a house in Menifee..

Then, I graduated from CSUSB and Troy finished his Electrical Apprenticeship...
